01Overview
The Sims 4 is a free-to-play life simulation game where players create and control households of customizable Sims. Create a Sim allows detailed control over appearance, clothing, personality traits, aspirations, relationships, and other characteristics, while Live Mode follows Sims through their everyday lives. Players manage needs, build friendships and romances, pursue careers, develop skills, raise families, and work toward personal aspirations. Sims react to events through emotions and relationships, which can influence their available interactions and behavior. Players can move between neighborhoods, visit community lots, meet other Sims, and decide how closely they want to manage each character’s life. Build Mode lets players construct and furnish homes using walls, rooms, roofs, pools, landscaping, and a large catalog of objects. Houses can be built from scratch or modified as a household grows and earns more Simoleons. The Gallery provides access to Sims, rooms, and complete lots created by other players and allows users to share their own creations. The base game supports multiple households within the same save, allowing players to create interconnected families and stories across different neighborhoods.
