01Overview

The Sinking City 2 is a third-person survival horror game set in 1920s Arkham, a New England city being consumed by a supernatural flood. Players control private investigator Calvin Rafferty, who searches for his missing partner Faye after a failed ritual traps her soul in the Dreamlands and her body disappears. The city is divided into interconnected areas that can be explored on foot or by skiff, with shortcuts, locked routes and hidden rooms opening as players investigate hospitals, flooded streets, abandoned buildings and underground locations. Combat pits Calvin against creatures including Deep Ones, reanimated corpses and other eldritch threats. Survival depends on managing ammunition, healing supplies and limited inventory space while deciding when to fight or avoid enemies. Players solve environmental puzzles, search for resources and complete optional investigations that can reveal safer routes, supplies and weapon upgrades. Exploration also uncovers clues, journals and ritual traces connected to Arkham’s supernatural events. Safe areas provide opportunities to reorganize equipment and improve Calvin before returning to more dangerous parts of the city.
