01Overview
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands is an open-world tactical shooter set in a fictionalized version of Bolivia. Players lead an elite team of Ghosts tasked with dismantling the Santa Blanca drug cartel by targeting its operations and key members across the country. Missions can be approached in different ways using stealth, long-range shooting, direct assaults, vehicles, drones, explosives, and coordinated squad commands. The open world is divided into regions containing cartel facilities, towns, wilderness, roads, and military-controlled areas, with players free to choose which targets and missions to pursue. The full campaign can be played solo or in drop-in, drop-out co-op with up to three other players. When playing alone, three AI-controlled squadmates accompany the player and can be ordered to regroup, move to positions, open fire, or perform synchronized shots. Players collect weapons, attachments, and skill upgrades while completing missions and gathering intelligence. Cars, motorcycles, helicopters, planes, and boats provide transportation across the large map, while rebel support abilities can be unlocked to provide reconnaissance, vehicles, diversions, and additional fighters during operations.
