01Overview
Rainbow Six Siege X is a tactical team-based first-person shooter where elite strategy, communication and execution triumph. Players select from a large roster of specialized Operators, each equipped with unique weapons and gadgets, before working together across attack and defense rounds where a single decision can determine the outcome of a match. The core Siege experience revolves around destructible environments and close-quarters tactical combat. Attackers can breach walls, floors and barricades to create new routes into objectives, while defenders reinforce positions, deploy traps and use surveillance tools to control the battlefield. Learning each map, coordinating Operator abilities and adapting to the opposing team's strategy are central to success. Siege X expanded the game with modernized maps, improved visual and audio presentation, enhanced rappelling and additional environmental destruction. It also introduced Dual Front, a permanent 6v6 mode where Attackers and Defenders fight together to capture enemy sectors while protecting their own. Players can access Quick Match, Unranked and Dual Front for free with a selection of Operators, while Ranked, Siege Cup and additional Operators require an upgrade.
