Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is the successor to the 2004 RPG Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. Set in a modern-day Seattle reimagined within the World of Darkness, it follows Phyre, an Elder vampire who awakens from a century-long torpor with much of their power sealed away. A Malkavian detective named Fabien speaks inside Phyre’s mind, while sections set in 1920s Seattle let players experience parts of his story directly. As Phyre becomes involved in the city’s vampire politics, dialogue choices and alliances influence relationships, quests, and the eventual fate of Seattle. Gameplay combines first-person exploration, melee combat, stealth, feeding, and supernatural Disciplines. Players choose from six clans: Brujah, Tremere, Banu Haqim, Ventrue, Toreador, and Lasombra, with each supporting different abilities and approaches. Feeding on mortals restores health and powers Disciplines, but using obvious supernatural abilities or feeding where humans can see can violate the Masquerade. Players can stalk prey, fight directly, or use persuasion and vampiric abilities during encounters, while optional tasks and relationships provide additional ways to navigate Seattle’s competing Kindred factions.
