Amnesia: The Bunker is a first-person survival horror game set inside a desolate World War I bunker. Players control French soldier Henri Clément, who awakens alone with limited supplies and must find a way out while an AI-driven monster stalks the corridors. Survival depends on scavenging resources, crafting useful items, and deciding when to hide, run, or use scarce weapons. A hand-cranked dynamo flashlight provides portable light but creates noise, while the bunker’s fuel-powered generator can illuminate larger areas for a limited time. Every sound and action can attract the creature, making resource management and planning important. The bunker uses a semi-open structure that allows objectives to be tackled in different ways. Players search rooms for tools, codes, fuel, ammunition, and information about what happened to the other soldiers, with physics-based interactions providing multiple solutions to obstacles. Item placement and some environmental elements vary between playthroughs, while the monster responds dynamically to player behavior. Limited inventory space forces players to choose what to carry, and keeping the generator running can make exploration safer without removing the threat entirely.
