01Overview

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is a 3D arena fighting game that builds on the gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series. Players choose from a base roster of more than 180 fighters drawn from Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, Dragon Ball GT, and selected movies. Battles emphasize high-speed movement, Ki attacks, transformations, rush attacks, beam clashes, and large destructible arenas. Fighters have their own signature techniques and can be used in one-on-one matches or team battles, with different character costs shaping team composition in DP Battle formats. Episode Battle lets players revisit major Dragon Ball storylines through the perspectives of selected characters, with some choices opening alternate scenarios. Custom Battle allows players to create, play, and share their own fights using chosen characters, stages, effects, and dialogue setups. Versus modes support offline and online competition, including ranked play and split-screen battles. Training options help players practice movement, counters, combos, and Ki management, while unlockable characters, outfits, and customization items provide additional progression outside individual matches.
