tinyBuild Connect 2026: Every Announcement
tinyBuild Connect has built a reputation for packing a lot of smaller game announcements into a single showcase. On September 14, the 2026 edition did exactly that, moving through 16 games with new demos, release dates, updates and one completely new reveal.
We got 12 minutes of Kingmakers, a Graveyard Keeper 2 demo that carries into next week's launch and the reveal of The Crab is Walking, a city builder where the entire settlement travels on the back of a giant crab. FEROCIOUS also launched on consoles during the show, while several other games became playable through new demos or playtests.
These were the biggest announcements from the Connect.
Kingmakers finally showed us a proper battle

We have seen plenty of Kingmakers trailers built around the sight of a modern soldier unloading an assault rifle into a medieval army. Its 12-minute Connect presentation spent much more time showing how you actually control one.
You still fight directly with modern weapons and vehicles, but the battlefield around you can be managed like a strategy game. Troops can be arranged into formations, defenses can be built and commands issued before you drop back into third-person combat yourself.
Co-op makes those battles considerably larger. Up to three friends can bring armies of their own, so an attack involves coordinating groups of soldiers as well as deciding where you personally want to fight.
Redemption Road Games also opened Steam playtest registrations during the show. Kingmakers is still planned for PC Early Access, although we still do not have a release date.
Graveyard Keeper 2 is giving us a head start

Graveyard Keeper 2 launches on September 22, but there's already a new demo available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch and Switch 2. You don't have to start over because your save transfers into the full game.
For something built around gathering resources and gradually improving your operation, being able to keep those first hours is particularly useful.
The sequel also expands well beyond running a cemetery. You are rebuilding a town during a zombie apocalypse, with undead workers automating parts of production while you restore houses, equip troops and eventually lead them into battle.
That puts considerably more around the familiar work-and-upgrade loop before the full game arrives next week.
Hypnohead put a city on a giant crab
The only completely new game announced during the show came from The King is Watching developer Hypnohead. The Crab is Walking is another strategy game built around limited construction space, except this time your settlement sits on the shell of a giant crab crossing a wasteland.
Every building takes up part of that shell, and their different shapes turn expansion into a packing problem. You can merge and upgrade structures while deciding which production facilities, military buildings and other essentials deserve the remaining space.
The crab keeps moving too. Routes offer different risks and rewards during each roguelite run, while your choice of creature and rider changes how you approach the journey.
Playtests are planned for 2027. tinyBuild did not announce a full release date.
Silent Road has become Road to Jukai

Silent Road returned under a new name during the showcase and is now part of tinyBuild's publishing lineup.
The game is called Road to Jukai, with a PC release planned for 2027. Endflame's psychological horror story follows a taxi driver working six night shifts between small Japanese towns while a haunted forest surrounds the roads between them.
The passengers are not simply people you transport from one place to another. Their requests and stories become stranger as the nights continue, bringing much of the horror inside the cab with you.
Steam playtest registrations are open now, giving us a chance to see how those six shifts come together before next year's release.
FEROCIOUS arrived on consoles during the show
FEROCIOUS launched on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S during the showcase, following its earlier PC release. Its island mixes mercenaries with prehistoric wildlife as you scavenge weapons and equipment while moving through the environment.
Some of those dinosaurs can also be controlled. You can turn them against enemies or use them to open routes through the island, so they are involved in more than the usual running, shooting and occasional attempt to avoid being eaten.
THE LIFT showed more of the Institute

THE LIFT: Supernatural Handyman Simulator returned with a new story trailer and a closer look at the abandoned Institute you will spend much of the game repairing.
You wake from stasis after a catastrophe has left the research facility drifting through the void. Restoring it goes beyond replacing furniture. Electrical faults need to be traced, components reconnected and different parts of the building gradually brought back online.
Your elevator travels with you through the Institute and works as a mobile base between jobs. The new footage also gave us more of the mystery surrounding the facility and what happened before you woke up. THE LIFT is coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2027.
Of Ash and Steel is expanding beyond PC
Of Ash and Steel had two announcements during Connect. The RPG is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, while developer Fire & Frost is also working on a new expansion called Shattered Faith.
The DLC sends you into neglected parts of Grayshaft with six new locations to explore. Two additional schools of magic are tied to the Order of the Seven and the Free Hunters, while a new poleaxe weapon class brings three combat stances with different damage types.
Movement is expanding too. An enchanted dagger lets you blink across gaps, while gliding gives you another way to descend from higher areas and reach parts of the island that were previously harder to access.
More demos, updates and release dates from tinyBuild Connect
Beyond the larger announcements, Connect also delivered a steady stream of demos, playtests, updates and release dates:
- Hozy: The free Hideaways DLC is available now on Steam with a condo, tech studio and greenhouse to renovate. PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch versions are also planned for later in 2026.
- Trainfort: Steam playtest registrations are now open. Up to four dwarves travel with a steam engine and a mobile base that can be packed into a bag when it is time to move on.
- Hull Rupture: Launches on PC on November 4, with an updated Steam demo available now. You manage production, repairs and defenses aboard a ship regularly breached by aliens.
- Probably Stolen - Cyberpunk Shopkeeper Sim: Launches on PC on October 28 and also received a Steam demo. Counterfeit goods, contraband, inspections and rising rent all feed into the shopkeeping side.
- The King is Watching: Added gamepad support and a redesigned interface for PC and Steam Deck. Hypnohead is still working with Valve on readability issues before the game can receive Steam Deck Verified status.
- ReStory: Chill Electronics Repairs: Has passed 500,000 sales. A free September 21 update adds another device to repair and a new customer.
- Drill Core: The Anniversary Update is available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It adds harder contract variants, additional specialists, Relaxed Mode and more detailed end-of-run statistics. Switch follows later.
- Happy's Humble Burger Cult: The Trial by Fryer update adds team PvP, with competing kitchens able to sabotage each other and fight over ingredients. Two new restaurants are included.
- SAND: Raiders of Sophie: Another content update is planned for later in September, although tinyBuild did not reveal an exact release date or full feature list.
tinyBuild Connect gave most of its games something useful
For a show with 16 games, tinyBuild Connect moved surprisingly quickly without making everything feel disposable.
Kingmakers got the time it needed, with 12 minutes of gameplay showing much more than another montage ever could. Graveyard Keeper 2 made its demo worth starting by carrying progress into release, and The Crab is Walking gave the show its one genuinely new game.
A lot of the smaller announcements were practical ones too. Demos went live, playtests opened, FEROCIOUS reached consoles and several games finally picked up release dates.
There was no single reveal that swallowed the whole showcase. Instead, tinyBuild gave us a much clearer idea of what we can actually play next, and in several cases we do not have to wait very long.
