Celeste

Celeste is a 2D platformer developed by Maddy Makes Games. Players control Madeline as she attempts to climb Celeste Mountain while confronting both the physical dangers of the ascent and her own anxiety and self-doubt. Movement is built around a small set of precise abilities, including jumping, wall climbing and an air dash. Each screen presents a compact platforming challenge filled with spikes, moving hazards and environmental mechanics that gradually become more demanding. The mountain is divided into distinct chapters, each introducing new obstacles and secrets. Optional strawberries, hidden rooms and tougher side challenges reward exploration, while frequent checkpoints keep difficult sections manageable. The story develops alongside the climb, using Madeline’s journey to explore themes of fear, persistence and self-acceptance.
