Metroid Ravenous

Metroid Ravenous is an upcoming 2D action-adventure game for Nintendo Switch 2. Samus Aran becomes stranded on an unfamiliar moon after being ambushed and severely injured by a mysterious group of assassins. Exploration takes place through interconnected underground ruins filled with enemies, environmental obstacles and powerful bosses. Samus gradually rebuilds her arsenal with familiar weapons such as beams and missiles while unlocking new abilities that open previously inaccessible routes. A major new mechanic lets Samus use awakened Metroid powers to drain energy from stunned enemies, encouraging more aggressive combat. She must also hunt down the five assassins responsible for the attack in one-on-one encounters. Metroid Ravenous is scheduled to launch on January 28, 2027.
