Portal 2

Portal 2 is a first-person puzzle game and the sequel to Portal. Players return as Chell, who awakens inside the abandoned Aperture Science facility years after the original game. After meeting the personality core Wheatley, she accidentally becomes trapped in another series of tests overseen by GLaDOS. Players use the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device to create linked portals and solve spatial puzzles involving movement, momentum, switches, cubes, and environmental hazards. The campaign gradually moves beyond the test chambers into older sections of Aperture, revealing more about the facility and its history. Portal 2 expands the original mechanics with new puzzle elements including Repulsion, Propulsion, and Conversion Gels, Excursion Funnels, Hard Light Bridges, and Aerial Faith Plates. These systems interact with portals in different ways and become increasingly combined as the campaign progresses. A separate cooperative campaign follows the robots Atlas and P-body through tests designed specifically for two players. Each robot controls two portals, allowing four portals to remain active and requiring both players to coordinate their movements and solutions.
