The Lord of the Rings: War in the North

The Lord of the Rings: War in the North is an action RPG set in Middle-earth alongside the events of The Lord of the Rings. The story follows a new fellowship of three heroes sent north to investigate Agandaûr, a Black Númenórean serving Sauron who is gathering an army in the ruins of Fornost. Players travel through locations including Rivendell, Mirkwood and the Lonely Mountain while fighting Orcs, trolls and other forces threatening the northern lands. Combat combines melee attacks, ranged weapons and character-specific abilities, with enemies dropping weapons, armor and other equipment that can be used to strengthen the party. The fellowship consists of Eradan, a Dúnedain Ranger skilled with bows and swords, Andriel, an Elven Loremaster who uses magic and healing, and Farin, a Dwarven Champion focused on heavy melee combat and durability. Players can switch between the three heroes in single-player, while cooperative play supports up to three players. Each character has separate skills and equipment progression, and the Great Eagle Beleram can also be called into battle during certain encounters.
