01Overview
Mortal Kombat 1 is a fighting game set in a reborn Mortal Kombat universe created by Fire God Liu Kang. The new timeline reimagines familiar characters and relationships while retaining the series’ one-on-one combat and Fatalities. Players choose a main fighter and can pair them with a separate Kameo Fighter, who can be called into battle to perform assists, extend combos, interrupt opponents, or support other attacks. The cinematic Story mode follows Liu Kang and his champions as they encounter threats to the new era he created. Alongside Story mode, Mortal Kombat 1 includes Towers and Invasions, a single-player mode that combines fights with exploration, challenges, character progression, and unlockable rewards. Local versus play supports traditional matches against another player, while online options include Ranked Kombat League, Kasual Versus, King of the Hill, and private matches. The fighting system combines normal attacks, special moves, combos, defensive mechanics, Fatal Blows, and Kameo assists, with each fighter and support character offering different tools for building a team.

Mortal Kombat 1: Kollector's Edition
The Kollector's Edition is a physically only release for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at select retailers. It includes all Premium Edition content, along with a 16.5-inch Liu Kang sculpture designed by COARSE and an inspired Liu Kang in-game character skin, three exclusive art prints, a steel case, and 1,450 additional Dragon Krystals (2,700 total).
