Forza Horizon 6 Series 2 update adds new cars and easier progression
June 18, 2026·4 min read
Forza Horizon 6 is not wasting much time after launch. Series 2 is here, and it gives players a fresh Festival Playlist, more reward cars, a new place to meet other drivers, and a patch that fixes several problems players were running into during the first month.
The new series is called Horizon Decades. It starts on June 18 and runs for four weeks, with rewards built around iconic cars from different eras. The update is available on Xbox Series X|S, the Xbox app on PC, and Steam.
Horizon Decades adds 10 reward cars
The main reason to return is the new Festival Playlist. Horizon Decades adds 10 reward cars across the full series, giving players new goals to chase each week.
The full-series rewards are the 1993 Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau at 80 points and the 2018 Lotus Exige Cup 430 at 160 points. Each season also has its own cars, including the 1989 Volkswagen Rallye Golf, 1988 Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV, 1998 TVR Cerbera Speed 12, 1993 Schuppan 962CR, 2006 Dodge Ram SRT-10, 2003 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning, 2017 Mercedes-AMG GT R, and 2017 Saleen S7 LM.
Car Pass owners also get four more vehicles during the same window. The lineup includes the 2023 Audi R8 Coupé V10 GT RWD, 1974 Mazda #123 Mad Mike 808 Wagon “FURSTY,” 1998 Nissan Skyline GT-R 40th Anniversary, and 2023 Toyota GR Corolla.

Forza Horizon 6 Autumn playlist gives players two Japanese icons to chase

Hokubu gets a new Car Meet
Series 2 adds a temporary Evolving World Car Meet at the Hokubu Time Attack Circuit. Players can drive there in the shared world, park their cars, show off liveries, and meet other drivers before starting a convoy.
The game’s Japan map is built around more than races, and a Car Meet gives players a simple reason to slow down and use the world as a social space.
The update also adds three badges tied to Horizon Decades. Festival Enjoyer is for completing each type of Festival Playlist activity. Time Traveler is for playing during the series. Egg-cellent! is tied to parking at the Car Meet in the 2006 Dodge Ram SRT-10.
The Trial is back for top players
The Trial returns to the Festival Playlist, but it is locked behind Horizon Legend status and the Gold Wristband. Players who qualify can take part in a 6v6, best-of-three race against skilled opponents.
Series 2 introduces a tougher team event for advanced players. It also gives the Festival Playlist more variety, because not every weekly goal is just about earning points alone.
The Trial depends on teamwork more than most events. A fast car helps, but clean driving and smart overtakes are important when one mistake can hurt the whole team.
Horizon Play should take less time now
The patch makes Horizon Play progression faster from Level 26 to Level 100. That change should make the Maxed Out achievement much easier to earn.
Players who already reached higher levels will not need to start again. The update can raise their Horizon Play level automatically, unlock badges, and grant the achievement if they now meet the new requirement.
The Region Overview now shows a Roads Driven percentage, and two road nodes that were not being marked properly have been fixed. Map inconsistencies between the mini map and world map have also been cleaned up.
The patch fixes several early problems
Playground Games also adjusted Drivatar difficulty balancing and fixed race start behavior. That should make AI races feel more consistent, especially at the start of events.
Festival Playlist bugs have been fixed as well. Some Daily Challenges and a Seasonal Job could be completed early, some Weekly Challenges from older seasons did not show the right label, and some Daily Challenges did not unlock for certain players. Series 1 Daily Challenge points will be awarded later to eligible players through Playlist History.
The update also includes performance and stability fixes, audio improvements for lower-spec devices, several visual fixes, and a drag tire adjustment. Drag tires should no longer be the best choice for all types of racing outside of drag racing. Old leaderboard times set with the previous tire behavior will be removed over time.
