Sony has announced a Gran Turismo Limited Edition DualSense wireless controller for PlayStation 5, launching globally starting December 10, 2026. The racing-inspired design celebrates the franchise's upcoming 30th anniversary, with preorders opening on October 22.
The controller will be available in limited quantities for $84.99 in the US, £74.99 in the UK, €84.99 in Europe and ¥12,480 in Japan. Sony revealed the accessory on October 14 alongside the latest Gran Turismo 7 update.
Racing-inspired design celebrates Gran Turismo's 30th anniversary

The limited-edition DualSense features racing stripes, motorsport-inspired graphics and a textured front plate resembling carbon fibre. Sony says the design reflects the automotive craftsmanship and engineering associated with the Gran Turismo franchise.
The controller commemorates the racing series ahead of its 30th anniversary in 2027. The original Gran Turismo launched on PlayStation in Japan in December 1997.
Polyphony Digital CEO Kazunori Yamauchi reflected on the franchise's beginnings, explaining that the series was created to share the beauty and enjoyment of automobiles. He described the controller as a celebration of its history and thanked players for their continued support.
Sony has not announced any exclusive gameplay features for the limited edition. Its main difference from a standard DualSense is its appearance, while familiar functions such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers remain available.
Preorders open October 22 through PlayStation and retailers
Preorders for the Gran Turismo Limited Edition DualSense will begin on October 22 through PlayStation's official online store in supported regions and participating retailers.
In the United States, PlayStation Direct preorders open at 10 AM Eastern Time. Customers in the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg can also order directly from PlayStation starting at 10 AM local time.
Sony has confirmed that the controller will be sold in limited quantities, although it has not disclosed the total number of units being produced. The announced prices are recommended retail prices and may vary between retailers.
The controller is scheduled to begin its worldwide rollout on December 10. Sony notes that availability may differ depending on the country and retailer, so customers will need to check their local PlayStation store for purchasing details.
