Lies of P Sequel May Be Called Wonders of O After New Neowiz Trademark

September 16, 2026·3 min read

A new Neowiz trademark filing has raised the possibility that the next Lies of P game could be called Wonders of O, a name that closely echoes the Wizard of Oz imagery teased at the end of the original RPG.

The filing covers video game software and related entertainment services, while Neowiz has separately confirmed that a Lies of P sequel is now in full-scale development. There is still no official confirmation connecting the two projects, so Wonders of O remains a possible title rather than the announced name of the sequel.

Neowiz submitted the Wonders of O trademark to the European Union Intellectual Property Office on September 10. The application, numbered 019420678, is currently under examination and covers categories including downloadable computer game software, video game programs, online games, and other game-related services.

Those classifications make clear that Neowiz is seeking trademark protection for the name across games and entertainment. They do not reveal which project the trademark belongs to or confirm any particular gameplay feature.

The filing also includes broad wording such as virtual reality game software, but trademark applications commonly cover multiple possible uses. There has been no announcement that the Lies of P sequel will support VR. For now, Neowiz has not publicly explained what Wonders of O refers to.

Lies of P already left a major Wizard of Oz tease

The connection to Lies of P comes from one of the original game's final scenes.

After the main story, Paracelsus discusses his search for another person before naming Dorothy. The sequence then shows a girl walking across the rooftops of Krat in red shoes before clicking her heels together, directly evoking the character from L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

That scene clearly teased Dorothy as part of the series' future beyond Pinocchio's story. The newly filed name has therefore drawn attention because Wonders of O follows a similar naming pattern to Lies of P while arriving after an explicit Dorothy tease.

What has not been established is what the "O" stands for. Neowiz has not said it means Oz, confirmed Dorothy as the sequel's protagonist, or revealed whether the next game will leave Krat for a new setting.

The Lies of P sequel has entered full-scale development

The sequel itself is no longer speculative. Neowiz has repeatedly included a Lies of P Sequel in its official development pipeline, identifying it as an in-house Souls-like RPG for PC and consoles.

In its first-quarter 2026 investor presentation, the company said the project had passed the prototype stage and entered full-scale development. Neowiz is also treating Lies of P as part of a wider strategy built around expanding and serializing established intellectual properties.

The company has not announced a release window or final title for the sequel. That leaves Wonders of O as an unusually well-timed trademark with an obvious connection to one of Lies of P's biggest unresolved story teases, but the link will remain unofficial until Neowiz identifies the name itself.
