Naughty Dog Is Reportedly Working on a New Uncharted Game
Naughty Dog is reportedly working on a new Uncharted game planned to follow Intergalactic. Nathan Drake is said to return in some capacity, with Lost Legacy director Shaun Escayg reportedly leading the project.
Naughty Dog is reportedly developing a new Uncharted game that would follow Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, with Nathan Drake said to be returning in some capacity.
MP1st first reported the project on September 30, with VGC subsequently saying it could partially corroborate the information through its own sources. Naughty Dog and Sony have not announced another Uncharted game, so its existence, release plans and reported creative details remain unofficial.
Nathan Drake is reportedly involved, but his role is unclear

According to MP1st, Naughty Dog's new project is an entirely original Uncharted game rather than the previously rumored remake of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Nathan Drake is reportedly set to appear, although the source could not establish whether he will return as the main protagonist, take a supporting role or appear more briefly.
That distinction is important because Uncharted 4: A Thief's End was built as the conclusion to Nathan's main adventure. Its epilogue jumps forward to show Nathan and Elena living with their daughter Cassie, who begins learning about her parents' treasure-hunting past.
The ending has naturally led to speculation that Cassie could eventually take over the series, but neither MP1st nor VGC has confirmed that she appears in the reported new game. Her possible involvement remains speculation rather than part of the sourced information.
Lost Legacy director Shaun Escayg is reportedly leading the project

MP1st also reports that Shaun Escayg is directing the new game.
Escayg already has significant experience with the franchise, having served as creative director on Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. He later left Naughty Dog and worked as creative director on Marvel's Avengers at Crystal Dynamics before returning to Naughty Dog in 2021.
His reported involvement would place the project under a director who has already led an Uncharted release without Nathan as its central playable character. Naughty Dog has not confirmed Escayg's role on an unannounced project, and there is currently no official information about the game's wider development team.
Uncharted is reportedly planned to follow Intergalactic
The report claims Naughty Dog intends to work on and release the new Uncharted after Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
Naughty Dog has officially described Intergalactic as its next game and recently confirmed that it will fully reveal the PS5 title in 2027. The studio has not announced a release date, which means there is no reliable window for when another Uncharted could realistically arrive.
That also makes the reported ordering more useful than any attempt to attach a year to the project. If the information is accurate, Uncharted would sit behind Intergalactic in Naughty Dog's current plans, but schedules and priorities can change during development.
The studio marked the 10th anniversary of Uncharted 4 in May without announcing a new entry, and there has still been no official confirmation that the series is returning.
