Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet Will Be Fully Revealed in 2027

September 30, 2026·2 min read

Naughty Dog plans to stay quiet on Intergalactic for the rest of 2026 before giving Jordan A. Mun’s sci-fi adventure a full reveal in 2027. No launch window has been announced.

Naughty Dog will fully reveal Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet in 2027, with studio head Neil Druckmann confirming that the team plans to stay quiet about the game for the rest of 2026.

The update gives players the clearest timeline yet for when Naughty Dog intends to show its new sci-fi project in more detail. The studio has not announced a specific month, event or release window for the game itself.

Druckmann addressed the game as part of Naughty Dog's closing message for The Last of Us Day, saying development is continuing on what the studio describes as its most ambitious project yet.

Rather than releasing another trailer or presentation before the end of the year, Naughty Dog is deliberately holding back until it is ready for a larger showing. Druckmann said that changes in 2027, when the studio plans to fully reveal Intergalactic and provide a proper look at Jordan A. Mun's adventure.

That wording confirms a reveal window rather than a launch window. Naughty Dog has not said that Intergalactic will release in 2027, nor has it identified where or how the full presentation will take place.

Nearly two years have passed since the first trailer

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet was announced in December 2024 as Naughty Dog's next new franchise and is in development for PlayStation 5.

The first trailer introduced Jordan A. Mun, a bounty hunter stranded on the remote planet Sempiria while pursuing members of the Five Aces. Naughty Dog said anyone who had travelled to Sempiria had never been heard from again, with Jordan hoping to become the first person in more than 600 years to leave its orbit.

Tati Gabrielle plays Jordan, while Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are composing the soundtrack. Naughty Dog also confirmed that development began in 2020, but much of the game's combat, exploration and wider structure has remained under wraps since the announcement.

Naughty Dog has not said what the 2027 full reveal will include beyond promising a proper look at Jordan's adventure, leaving details about the game's broader gameplay and structure unannounced for now.
