Overwatch Announces First-Ever TTRPG Adventure Questwatch for BlizzCon 2026

Blizzard has announced Questwatch, the first tabletop role-playing adventure based on Overwatch, with a live session taking place at BlizzCon on September 13.

Matthew Mercer, the voice of Cassidy, will lead four Overwatch heroes through an adventure set in the fantasy kingdom of Overland. Blizzard has not yet revealed which four heroes will join the adventure, with more details planned for the BlizzCon Opening Ceremony on September 12.

Blizzard describes Questwatch as Overwatch's "first-ever TTRPG adventure."

Mercer will serve as the lead for the live session, bringing his tabletop RPG experience together with his long-running role as Cassidy in Overwatch. The identities of the four heroes joining the adventure have not been announced yet.

Blizzard has also not announced a tabletop system, rulebook, or separate commercial release connected to Questwatch. For now, the confirmed project is the live BlizzCon adventure rather than a standalone Overwatch tabletop game.

The name comes from Overwatch 2 Season 5, which introduced Questwatch as a fantasy role-playing story tied to Battle Pass progression in 2023.

That campaign followed Tracer, Orisa, and other characters playing through an adventure in Overland, with Tracer setting out to become a knight and save the kingdom from the Demon Lord.

The BlizzCon session takes the same role-playing concept outside the game by turning Questwatch into an actual tabletop adventure performed live.

Blizzard says it will reveal more about Questwatch during the BlizzCon Opening Ceremony on September 12, one day before the tabletop session.

BlizzCon 2026 takes place at the Anaheim Convention Center on September 12 and 13, with Overwatch also represented through developer programming, hands-on gameplay, and the returning Overwatch World Cup.

Blizzard has not yet confirmed which four heroes will appear in Questwatch or exactly how the tabletop adventure will be played.
