Pokémon GO Fest 2026 will return for one final global event later this year. Pokémon GO Fest: Mega Finale will take place on September 5 and 6, giving players another worldwide event after July’s main Global celebration.

The Pokémon GO team has only announced the dates for now. Event hours, featured Pokémon, raids, bonuses, research and ticket details will be revealed closer to the weekend.

Pokémon GO Fest: Mega Finale will be held across Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6. As a global event, it will be available to players without requiring travel to a specific host city.

The announcement describes Mega Finale as the final adventure of the summer. However, it does not confirm the daily start and end times or whether every part of the event will be free.
The Mega Finale name points toward Mega Evolution playing an important role, but no featured Pokémon have been announced. Players will need to wait for the full event reveal before planning raid teams or collecting Mega Energy.

The Pokémon GO team has also not confirmed whether Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y will return. Both forms debuted during GO Fest 2026 and appeared in Super Mega Raids during the Global event.

The main Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global event took place on July 11 and 12. It was free for every player for the first time and ran from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time on both days.

That event featured Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Mewtwo Y and Special Research leading to Zeraora. Players also encountered Pokémon from all 18 types across six themed periods during the weekend.

More Details Are Coming Soon

It is not yet clear whether Mega Finale will follow the same free format as the July event. Details about paid upgrades, Shiny rates, Remote Raid limits and Special Research are also still unknown.

Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Mega Finale begins on September 5 and ends on September 6. The full schedule and gameplay details will be announced before the event starts.
