New Zelda-Themed Switch 2 Console Reportedly Leaked

Switch 2 still looks almost the same no matter which game is running on it, but Zelda fans may soon get a version with more personality. A new leak claims Nintendo is preparing a limited-edition console tied to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, giving players another reason to watch the remake's next showing closely.

Nintendo has not announced the system or shown an official design. The claim comes from leaker Shpeshal Nick, who says a Zelda-themed Switch 2 is still planned even after a separate report pointed to a matching Pro Controller instead. For now, the story involves two possible products rather than one confirmed bundle.

The first claim described a full limited-edition Switch 2 planned around the release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. No details were given about the dock, Joy-Con 2 colours, storage, price, or whether the game would be included. The basic idea is clear, but almost every detail buyers would need is still missing.

A newer report added a Zelda-themed Switch 2 Pro Controller with green and gold grips and a Triforce near the centre. That created some confusion over whether the earlier console rumour had been mistaken for an accessory. Shpeshal Nick later repeated that he expects both products, which keeps the larger hardware claim alive.

Nothing resembling finished retail material has appeared publicly. There are no box images, product codes, store listings, or photographs of the console itself, so the leak still depends on information shared by people familiar with Nintendo rumours. A design image or retailer listing would carry far more weight than another broad claim.

Nintendo has confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is being rebuilt exclusively for Switch 2 in 2026. The first trailer showed Link waking in Kokiri Forest with a new visual style, but it did not reveal a release date, combat changes, dungeon updates, or how closely the remake will follow the Nintendo 64 original.

A special-edition system would give that launch more weight without needing a separate hardware event. Ocarina of Time remains one of Nintendo's best-known games, while 2026 also marks the Zelda series' 40th anniversary. Gold details, green accents, the Triforce, the Master Sword, or the ocarina itself would all suit the console without making the design feel crowded.

Zelda designs have appeared across several Nintendo hardware generations, including the Tears of the Kingdom Switch OLED and the Hyrule Edition Switch Lite. Earlier systems also received hardware tied to games such as The Wind Waker HD and Majora's Mask. That history does not prove the leak, but it makes Zelda an obvious choice for Switch 2's first major themed model.

Nintendo has not said whether the console would be sold alone or packaged with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Previous Zelda systems have not always included the game behind their design, with the Tears of the Kingdom Switch OLED sold separately from the game. Buyers should not assume the remake will be included until Nintendo confirms the box contents.

Price will decide how attractive the system is to people who already own a Switch 2. A themed Pro Controller would offer a cheaper option for existing owners, while a full console would mainly target collectors and players who have delayed upgrading. Releasing both would let Nintendo reach those groups without making the console the only way to get Zelda-themed hardware.

Nintendo's next presentation for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the most likely place for the rumour to be settled. A proper reveal needs to show the console, confirm whether the controller is separate, explain the bundle contents, and give buyers a release date. Until then, the themed Switch 2 remains a believable claim without a product page behind it.
