Build a world for wildlife in Planet Zoo. From the creators of Planet Coaster and Zoo Tycoon comes a zoo management simulation where players construct detailed habitats, care for animals, and manage the day-to-day operation of their zoo. Each species has its own welfare needs covering habitat space, terrain, temperature, social groups, food, enrichment, and shelter. Players also manage staff, finances, guest facilities, education, research, and conservation while designing paths, scenery, barriers, buildings, and viewing areas around the animals. Planet Zoo includes Career, Franchise, Challenge, and Sandbox modes. Career presents a series of scenario-based zoos with specific objectives, while Franchise lets players build a connected network of zoos and trade animals through an online market. Challenge provides a similar management experience without the online economy, and Sandbox allows greater control over settings and resources. Animals can breed and pass genetic traits to their offspring, making population management and conservation breeding part of long-term planning. Research unlocks improved facilities, enrichment items, and species knowledge, while guest happiness and animal welfare directly affect how successfully each zoo operates.
