01Overview
Slay the Spire is a single-player roguelike deck-building game where each run challenges you to climb a procedurally generated tower filled with enemies, events, merchants and bosses. You choose from four playable characters, each with their own cards, mechanics and preferred strategies. Combat is turn-based and built entirely around your deck. New cards are earned after battles, while relics provide passive bonuses that can completely change how a run develops. Choosing which cards to add is often just as important as knowing when to remove weaker ones. Between encounters, you decide which route to take through the Spire, balancing safer paths against tougher fights and better rewards. Every run resets your deck, but unlocked cards, relics and higher difficulty levels gradually expand the challenge.
