01Overview
Batman: Arkham Origins is an action-adventure game developed by WB Games Montréal and set several years before Batman: Arkham Asylum. The story follows a younger, less experienced Batman during Christmas Eve, when crime boss Black Mask places a bounty on his head and draws eight deadly assassins to Gotham. Gameplay combines free-flow combat, stealth, detective work and open-world exploration across an expanded version of Gotham City. Batman can use familiar gadgets, unlock new abilities and investigate crime scenes by reconstructing events with Detective Vision. The prequel also explores Batman’s early relationships with characters such as Alfred and James Gordon, before he has fully earned the trust of Gotham’s police. Major villains include Deathstroke, Bane, Firefly and Copperhead.
