01Overview
Diablo IV is an open-world action RPG developed by Blizzard Entertainment and set in the dark fantasy world of Sanctuary. The story begins with the return of Lilith, whose influence spreads corruption and violence across the land. Players choose from several classes and build their character through skills, equipment and class-specific mechanics. Combat focuses on cutting through large groups of enemies while collecting increasingly powerful Legendary and Unique items that can reshape a build. Sanctuary is divided into interconnected regions filled with story quests, Strongholds, world bosses, public events and randomized dungeons. Progression continues after the campaign through higher difficulty levels, Paragon boards and endgame activities. Diablo IV also uses a shared online world, with cooperative play and regularly changing Seasonal Realms offering new progression systems and activities.
