Gen.G GC beat FENNEL GC 3-2 in Bali to win Game Changers Pacific 2026 and secure the region’s top seed for São Paulo.

Gen.G GC defeated FENNEL GC 3-2 to win the 2026 VALORANT Game Changers Pacific championship in Bali. The Korean team completed a lower-bracket comeback on September 20. They beat the same FENNEL side that had sent them into the lower bracket earlier in the tournament.

The title also gives Gen.G Pacific’s first seed for the 2026 Game Changers Championship in São Paulo. FENNEL qualifies alongside them as the region’s second seed after finishing runner-up.

Gen.G opened the grand final by winning its Split pick 13-9, but FENNEL answered immediately. The Japanese side took Summit 13-9 and then won Lotus 13-8 to move one map away from the championship.

Gen.G kept the series alive with a 13-9 victory on Ascent, forcing the deciding map on Sunset. FENNEL had already beaten Gen.G 2-1 in the upper semifinals. This time, Gen.G turned the rematch around on the final map.

Gen.G dominate Sunset to complete the comeback

The fifth map was the most one-sided of the final. Gen.G built a 10-2 lead during the first half on Sunset before closing the map 13-4 and taking the series 3-2.

Jo “DaNa” Se-won led the way across the five maps. She finished the grand final with a series-high 101 kills and a 275 average combat score, including a 21-9-5 performance on the deciding Sunset.

DaNa was named Finals MVP after the title win. Her performance helped Gen.G finish a tough playoff run after the team dropped into the lower bracket early in the event.

Gen.G began the Pacific playoffs with a 2-0 victory over Rising Esports GC before losing 2-1 to FENNEL in the upper semifinals. That defeat forced the team into a longer route to the grand final.

The Korean roster then beat swaglord9000 2-1 and FULL SENSE SISU 2-1 before facing Team Falcons Vega in the lower final. Gen.G won that series 3-2 to secure its place at the Game Changers Championship and earn another meeting with FENNEL.

Gen.G and FENNEL now head to São Paulo

Game Changers Pacific ran from September 14 to 20 at AYANA Resort Bali, with eight teams competing for two places at the global championship. Gen.G earned $5,000 for first place, while FENNEL received $4,000 as runner-up.

Both teams will now represent Pacific at the 2026 Game Changers Championship in São Paulo. The international event runs from October 22 to November 1, with Gen.G going in as Pacific’s top seed after winning the regional title.
