Jinggg Leaves Paper Rex After Five Years as VALORANT Team Begins Roster Changes

Paper Rex has officially parted ways with Wang "Jinggg" Jing Jie, ending his five-year tenure with the Singaporean esports organization. The departure was announced on October 31, 2026, the same day longtime teammate Khalish "d4v41" Rusyaidee also left the roster.

Jinggg joined Paper Rex in September 2021 and became one of its most recognizable VALORANT players. He helped the team win multiple VCT Pacific titles and its first international trophy at Masters Toronto in 2025. His departure leaves Paper Rex with three players listed on its roster ahead of the 2027 season.

Paper Rex announced Jinggg's exit through its official social media account, thanking him for his contributions since joining the organization. The team highlighted his memorable clutches, aces, and aggressive performances on Raze, an agent that became closely associated with his playing style.

Jinggg also shared a personal farewell message on X, confirming that his time with Paper Rex had ended. He reflected on how much his life had changed since joining the team five years earlier. He thanked his teammates, coaches, staff, and fans for supporting him through the highs and lows of his career.

The Singaporean player described Paper Rex as a second family and expressed excitement about his future. Neither Jinggg nor the organization has provided a specific reason for the departure. He has also not announced his next team or confirmed whether he will compete in VCT 2027.

Jinggg played a major role in Paper Rex's rise as an international VALORANT contender. He was part of the roster that reached the Masters Copenhagen grand final in 2022. Paper Rex followed that achievement by winning the inaugural VCT Pacific League in 2023 and finishing second at VALORANT Champions later that year.

After briefly moving away from the active lineup, Jinggg returned in March 2024. He helped Paper Rex win VCT Pacific Stage 1 that season. His biggest achievement with the organization came in June 2025, when Paper Rex defeated Fnatic to win Masters Toronto. The victory secured the team's first international VCT trophy.

Paper Rex remained competitive throughout 2026. The team finished runner-up at Masters Santiago and Masters London while also securing another VCT Pacific Stage 1 championship. However, its campaign at VALORANT Champions Shanghai ended in seventh-eighth place.

These results marked the final competitive season of Jinggg's five-year run with the organization.

Jinggg's departure is part of a larger roster change at Paper Rex. The organization also announced the exit of d4v41 on October 31. The Malaysian player had been with Paper Rex since its founding in 2020, initially competing in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive before transitioning to VALORANT.

Both players were part of the team's Masters Toronto championship lineup. With their departures, Paper Rex currently lists Jason "f0rsakeN" Susanto, Ilia "something" Petrov, and Adrian "invy" Reyes on its official roster.

The organization has already secured its place in the VCT Pacific partnership program for 2027, but its lineup for the upcoming season remains incomplete. Paper Rex has not announced replacements for Jinggg and d4v41. Neither player has confirmed a new organization.
