01Overview
Fallout 4 is an open-world action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios. As the Sole Survivor of Vault 111, players emerge into the post-apocalyptic Commonwealth more than 200 years after nuclear war devastated the world. Searching for their missing son, they encounter competing factions, dangerous creatures and settlements struggling to survive across the ruins of Boston and the surrounding wasteland. Players can freely explore the Commonwealth, complete quests, develop their character through the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system and use a wide range of firearms, energy weapons, melee equipment and Power Armor. The V.A.T.S. targeting system provides a tactical option during combat, while extensive crafting allows weapons and armor to be modified using materials collected throughout the world. Players can also build and maintain settlements, establish supply networks and travel with a selection of companions whose personal stories develop alongside the main adventure. Fallout 4 was expanded through six official add-ons, including the story-focused Far Harbor and Nuka-World, alongside Automatron, Wasteland Workshop, Contraptions Workshop and Vault-Tec Workshop. These additions introduce new locations, quests, enemies and further options for building and customization.
