Atmosfar Surpasses 300,000 Steam Wishlists Ahead of October 29 Early Access Launch
ATMOSFAR passes 300,000 Steam wishlists before its October 29 Early Access release, featuring aerial survival, co-op, and a mobile airship.
Upcoming sci-fi survival game ATMOSFAR has surpassed 300,000 Steam wishlists ahead of its Early Access release on October 29, 2026. Developer Apog Labs and publisher Shueisha Games confirmed the milestone on October 19, as the game prepares to launch on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Set on the alien planet Tycos, ATMOSFAR combines open-world survival, aerial exploration, and base building. Players travel between floating islands using customizable aircraft while uncovering what happened to a human colony. The game supports solo play and online co-op for up to four players.
Different aircraft make aerial exploration central to survival

Flying is a major part of ATMOSFAR, with players using small aircraft called Wasps to explore the planet's floating islands. Each aircraft class serves a different purpose, encouraging players to choose the right vehicle for their next expedition.
The Utility Wasp can deploy a temporary campsite, while the Hauler Wasp transports heavy scrap collected during exploration. The Striker Wasp can stun enemies, giving players another way to handle dangerous encounters.
Aircraft also require fuel, maintenance, and repairs. Players can upgrade engines, hover modules, and hulls to improve their performance as they venture into more challenging areas.
Exploration is not limited to the skies. Players can land on islands to collect resources, discover new technologies, and investigate abandoned locations. Dangerous weather, including powerful jet streams and thunderstorms, adds another challenge to travelling across Tycos.
The Cloud Cruiser lets players build a base in the sky

One of ATMOSFAR's main features is the Cloud Cruiser, a large customizable airship that serves as a mobile base. Instead of returning to a fixed settlement after every expedition, players can bring their crafting equipment, supplies, and smaller aircraft along as they explore.
The airship supports modular construction, allowing players to expand its structure with additional sections and facilities. These include aircraft landing pads, fuel storage, and living areas. Players can also pilot the Cloud Cruiser themselves.
Resource gathering and crafting support this system. Players collect scrap, process minerals, prepare food, and research artifacts to develop new equipment and construction options. In multiplayer, up to four players can work together aboard a shared Cloud Cruiser. Friends can help construct the airship, pilot separate Wasps, or travel as passengers while exploring the planet.
Early Access begins with two regions and more content planned
Apog Labs has confirmed that ATMOSFAR will enter Early Access with two explorable regions containing multiple floating-island biomes. The initial release includes three Wasp aircraft, a functional Cloud Cruiser, and gameplay objectives for both solo and multiplayer sessions.
The developer expects Early Access to last at least nine months, although that period could be extended depending on development and player feedback.
Future updates are planned to expand the game's third region, The Rime, and introduce the Scout Wasp. Apog Labs also intends to add more Cloud Cruiser building options and complete the storyline before the full release.
A release date for version 1.0 has not been announced.
