Elden Ring Streamer Commissions Custom Mod for 734-Run Challenge

September 11, 2026·3 min read

Elden Ring streamer Bushy has commissioned a custom mod to help him complete an enormous challenge built around beating FromSoftware's RPG with every weapon and shield, along with its Ashes of War, staves, seals, and spells.

The project began with 447 runs covering every weapon and shield before expanding to Ashes of War, staves, seals, sorceries, and incantations. Bushy initially put the expanded total at 726 playthroughs, but his stream titles later showed the target increasing again, reaching 734 as the new Tarnished Pack content arrived.

Bushy wants to beat Elden Ring with every attack option

Bushy started the challenge in August with a straightforward but enormous goal: complete the Elden Ring once with every weapon and shield available to him.

He later widened the project beyond conventional weapons. Individual Ashes of War, casting tools, sorceries, and incantations were added so that each offensive option could receive its own run. Bushy has described the project as a library showing how different combat options perform across Elden Ring's bosses.

A custom mod cuts out hundreds of repeated setup runs

Repeating Elden Ring more than 700 times would normally mean recollecting the same upgrade materials, flask improvements, progression items, and other equipment before each build is ready.

Bushy commissioned a custom mod to remove much of that repeated preparation while leaving the boss fights themselves intact. It gives him faster access to items needed for each run and streamlines progression that would otherwise have to be repeated hundreds of times.

Bushy says the mod does not affect the experience of fighting the bosses. He still has to complete each run with the weapon, spell, or ability assigned to it. The mod instead cuts down the time between those fights so the project can remain focused on testing each combat option.

That distinction is central to the challenge. Without the mod, a large part of the project would involve repeatedly collecting the same supporting items rather than actually using the equipment the run is meant to showcase.

New Elden Ring weapons have already made the challenge bigger

Bushy's target is not completely fixed because the challenge depends on how much usable equipment exists in Elden Ring.

Bandai Namco's Tarnished Pack added new weapons alongside the Heavy Knight and Idus Knight starting classes, giving Bushy additional equipment to consider for the challenge.

His August 17 stream was still labeled as run 11 of 726. By the end of the month, his challenge streams had changed to a 734-run target, with an August 31 broadcast reaching 19 of 734.
