Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition has taken the top spot on Nintendo's digital best sellers list just days after making its debut on Nintendo Switch 2.
FromSoftware's RPG launched on August 28, marking the first time Elden Ring has appeared on Nintendo hardware. Nintendo's US store currently lists Tarnished Edition first among its digital best sellers, ahead of titles including Minecraft and Pokémon FireRed Version. Nintendo does not provide unit sales alongside the ranking.

Nintendo's best-selling games list covers both Switch 2 and Switch titles rather than Switch 2 releases alone. The ranking does not include unit sales, so it does not reveal how many copies of Tarnished Edition have been sold.
Tarnished Edition brings the base game and Shadow of the Erdtree expansion together in one release, giving Nintendo players access to both the Lands Between and the Realm of Shadow.

The Switch 2 edition also introduces the Heavy Knight and Idus Knight as new starting classes, four additional armor sets, and three appearance options for Torrent.
Those additions are not exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2. Bandai Namco has released the new content separately for existing versions of Elden Ring as the Tarnished Pack.
The Nintendo launch comes after Elden Ring established itself as one of FromSoftware's biggest releases. Bandai Namco says the original game has sold more than 30 million units worldwide since its 2022 debut.
Tarnished Edition brings Elden Ring to Nintendo hardware more than four years after its original release. Bandai Namco has not announced separate sales figures for the Switch 2 version.
