GTA 6 Cover Girl Issues New Statement On Apparent Likeness Use

June 30, 2026·4 min read
The GTA 6 cover art has fans searching for clues, and this time fans are focused on the brunette woman in the green top. Many players think she looks like Gabriela Chiquin, a DJ, musician, and influencer whose older photos have been compared with Rockstar’s artwork. Chiquin has now responded to the attention again, but her comments do not turn the theory into a confirmed Rockstar connection.

Right now, the comparison is still coming from the fan community. The resemblance is easy to see, and Chiquin clearly knows why people are talking about her, but Rockstar has not said who inspired the woman on the cover.

Chiquin is leaning into the attention

Chiquin has thanked the GTA community for the sudden wave of messages, memes, and comments. She also updated one of her posts with a playful line about people saying she looks like the brunette in GTA 6.

That response has kept the theory alive because it feels more amused than angry. She is not denying the comparison, and she does not see the attention as a problem.

At the same time, she has not said Rockstar hired her, scanned her, copied her, or used her as the official model. Her comments are a reaction to the fan theory, not proof of how the artwork was made.

Rockstar has not named the cover model

Rockstar has revealed the official GTA 6 cover art, release date, platforms, and preorder details, but it has not explained who the woman in the green top is based on.

GTA cover art has always been part marketing, part mood-setter. The women featured on older covers were not always major characters in the game, and some were mostly there to sell the tone of the city.

Jason and Lucia are still the main focus of GTA 6. They are the confirmed leads, and Rockstar’s story setup focuses on their crime story across Leonida.

Fans found the theory fast

The comparison started because fans found older photos of Chiquin wearing a similar green top, with a similar hairstyle and pose. Once the side-by-side images started spreading, the theory moved quickly across social media.

That is how GTA fans look for clues now. Rockstar releases one image, and players pick apart every outfit, face, car, weapon, sign, and background detail they can find.

This theory caught on because it looks possible. Still, a strong resemblance is not the same thing as confirmation. Until Rockstar says more, it stays in the rumor pile.

GTA has been here before

Grand Theft Auto has a long history with likeness debates. GTA 5 faced a lawsuit from Lindsay Lohan, who claimed the game used her image without permission, but the case did not end in her favor.

That history is why players pay close attention when a real person appears to resemble GTA artwork. The series has always pulled from celebrity culture, social media, crime stories, fashion, and real-world locations.

Chiquin’s situation feels different because she is not presenting it as a legal fight. She is acknowledging the jokes and attention while leaving the bigger question unanswered.

The mystery is part of the hype

GTA 6 does not need much to take over the internet. A cover reveal was enough to send players hunting for clues, and Chiquin’s response gave them another thread to follow.

Fans may have found someone who looks a lot like the GTA 6 cover woman, but nobody outside Rockstar has confirmed what that means.

GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Until then, every official image is going to be treated like evidence.
