LEGO Batman showcases Joker and Harley Quinn ahead of September DLC
August 30, 2026·3 min read
Warner Bros. Games and TT Games have released the promised new trailer for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, revealing more of the Mayhem Collection DLC arriving on September 18. The expansion lets players control The Joker and Harley Quinn in a new story mission, Mayhem Mode, and extra customization content.
The September release had already been announced, but the new footage provides the clearest look yet at how the two villains actually play. It also arrives ahead of the game's Nintendo Switch 2 version, which launches worldwide on the same date.
Joker and Harley escape Arkham Asylum

The Mayhem Collection includes a new story mission built around The Joker and Harley Quinn orchestrating an escape from Arkham Asylum. Both characters have their own combat abilities and gadgets rather than simply using Batman's existing moveset.
The Joker has a faster combat style focused on movement and uses weapons including his Paintball Pelter and Boxing Glove. Harley fights with her hammer and Fun Gun, while she can also call in her hyenas, Bud and Lou.
That gives the DLC a different perspective from the main campaign, which follows Bruce Wayne's journey through Gotham. Instead of stopping criminal activity, players are temporarily responsible for causing it.
Mayhem Mode sends Joker and Harley across Gotham
The new Mayhem Mode sends Joker and Harley across Gotham during timed runs, with the pair trying to reach Amusement Mile before time expires. Batman and Robin pursue them while players earn LEGO studs by destroying vehicles, stores, landmarks, and completing challenges.
A.R.G.U.S. agents and members of Amanda Waller's Task Force X also appear as enemies. Confirmed characters include Deathstroke, Killer Croc, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, King Shark, and Polka-Dot Man, giving the mode a broader villain roster beyond its two playable leads.
The DLC also adds new suits and a Jokermobile

The Mayhem Collection includes the Sinister Pack, which adds seven outfits for characters from the main game. Its designs draw from DC comics and action figures, including The Batman Who Laughs for Batman and Joker-themed appearances for Nightwing, Batgirl, Jim Gordon, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul.
Players will also receive the Jokermobile inspired by the Arkham games and five additional Batcave decorations. The Mayhem Collection is included with the Deluxe Edition and Deluxe Edition Upgrade, with the base game required to use the DLC.
September 18 brings more than the Mayhem DLC
TT Games is also adding an Absolute difficulty setting through a free update on September 18. It will sit above the existing Caped Crusader and Dark Knight difficulty options, requiring greater precision and awareness during combat.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is already available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Nintendo Switch 2 players will receive the full game on September 18, making the date both the platform's launch and the arrival of Joker and Harley's new content.
