Moon Sweepers Launches on Steam With 16-Player Co-Op and a Toothbrush
Moon Sweepers sends up to 16 players to clean the Moon, sell lunar dust and buy better equipment, including vehicles and robots.
Moon Sweepers, a new cooperative cleaning simulator from Finnish developer DragDrop Games, launched on Steam for PC on October 23, 2026. The game challenges players to clean the Moon, starting with nothing more than a toothbrush and gradually upgrading to powerful cleaning equipment and automated machinery.
The game supports online co-op for up to 16 players, allowing friends to tackle the enormous cleaning job together. Players collect lunar dust, sell it for money, and expand their operation with better tools, vehicles, and equipment.
Up to 16 players can work together to clean the Moon

In Moon Sweepers, players work for the fictional Lunar Surface Department, an organization tasked with removing dust from the Moon. Unfortunately, its limited budget means the cleaning crew starts with basic equipment.
Online multiplayer allows up to 16 players to share a cleaning operation. Crewmates can spread across the lunar surface to cover different areas or work together to clear particularly dusty locations.
The game tracks cleaning progress directly on the terrain, with dusty ground becoming visibly cleaner as players work. Solo play is also supported, although larger groups can divide responsibilities between cleaning, collecting materials, and managing equipment.
Cleaning lunar dust earns money for tools and vehicles

The main gameplay loop involves gathering dust, filling storage containers, and transporting the collected material to depots. Players can then launch shipments to earn money and invest in their growing operation.
Early upgrades improve cleaning efficiency and increase how much dust players can carry. As they progress, they can purchase larger equipment, establish additional depots, and unlock cleaning vehicles to cover more ground.
Automation also becomes part of the process. Conveyor belts and other machinery help transport materials, while cleaning robots can work on sections of the Moon without requiring constant manual control.
Players can build facilities to support these systems, gradually turning a small cleaning crew into a larger operation capable of tackling more of the lunar surface.
DragDrop Games releases fixes following launch problems
The October 23 launch was followed by reports of crashes, performance issues, and multiplayer bugs. DragDrop Games acknowledged the problems on October 24, explaining that its two-person development team was working on fixes.
The studio released several updates during the opening weekend. Patch 1.0.3 improved performance, fixed save-loading problems, and introduced shared upgrades for multiplayer crews. Hosts also gained the ability to remove disruptive players from their sessions.
Patch 1.0.4 arrived on October 25 with further improvements to automated cleaning robots, faster saving, and automatic save backups. It also addressed multiplayer synchronization problems that caused cleaned terrain to appear differently between players.
The update added night vision goggles and improved the Moon map, making it easier to track cleaning robots and navigate between locations. DragDrop Games is continuing to investigate remaining technical issues.
Moon Sweepers is available for Windows PC through Steam, with a 15% introductory discount running until October 30, 2026.
