ohnePixel is hosting a $50,000 VALORANT tournament using Gauntlet: Glitched

September 17, 2026·3 min read
Counter-Strike streamer Mark “ohnePixel” Zimmermann is hosting a $50,000 VALORANT tournament on September 18 built around Riot Games’ new Gauntlet: Glitched mode. The event will give participating streamers and professional players early access to the mode four days before its public release.

ohnePixel announced the tournament on September 15 while looking for several more streamers or pros to complete the field. A full participant list, start time, bracket, prize distribution, and broadcast details have not yet been announced.

The tournament takes place before Gauntlet: Glitched launches

Gauntlet: Glitched is scheduled to become publicly available with VALORANT Patch 13.06 on September 22. ohnePixel’s tournament will therefore be one of the first chances to see experienced players competing in the mode before the wider community can play it.

Riot revealed Gauntlet: Glitched on September 14 and described it as its most ambitious VALORANT mode so far. Matches have 16 players competing as eight teams of two instead of the usual five-versus-five setup.

The September 18 event is not part of the official VALORANT Champions Tour. Instead, it is a creator-led competition built specifically around the new mode and its unusual rules.

Players build their own ability combinations

Gauntlet: Glitched does not ask players to choose one of VALORANT’s regular Agents. Each competitor instead controls a Robo-Agent and creates a loadout by selecting abilities from a randomized pool.

Players can upgrade those abilities during a match, while special glitches can change how some powers behave. The system allows combinations that would not normally be possible when playing one of the game’s standard Agents.

Eight duos compete through a tournament-style structure until one team remains. Traditional shooting and positioning still play a role, but players will also need to adapt to the abilities and upgrades available during each match.

ohnePixel is moving from VALORANT player to tournament host

ohnePixel is best known for his Counter-Strike streams and skin-focused content, but he has previously taken part in VALORANT creator competitions. In April 2026, he competed in a tournament hosted by Jynxzi alongside several other streamers.

This time, ohnePixel is organizing the event himself. His initial announcement specifically invited both streamers and professional players, although he has not yet confirmed who will compete for the $50,000 prize pool.

The tournament takes place on September 18, while Gauntlet: Glitched becomes available to all players on September 22 with Patch 13.06. Riot has not said the mode will be part of official VCT competition. ohnePixel’s event will instead offer an early competitive look at a format built outside standard VALORANT play.
