Kick streamer Ozemi says he received a temporary suspension while broadcasting from Japan, correcting earlier reports that described his disappearance from the platform as a ban. Ozemi said Kick suspended him for "scripted content," although the platform has not publicly explained the enforcement action.
The suspension did not last long. Ozemi's Kick channel is accessible again, and he has continued uploading IRL broadcasts from Japan since the action was taken.
Ozemi addressed the suspension on X after his channel became unavailable. He described the action as temporary and said scripted content was the reason given for it.
He also criticized Kick's decision by comparing his suspension with other behavior he said remained on the platform. Kick has not published its own statement confirming the reason, so the explanation currently comes from Ozemi himself.
That changes the status of the story from the initial reports surrounding his missing channel. There is no indication that Ozemi was permanently removed from Kick.
Ozemi has spent the past week broadcasting IRL content from Japan. His Kick archive includes a first Japan stream from roughly a week ago, followed by broadcasts from Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima, and other parts of the trip.
The broadcasts have leaned heavily into provocative IRL content, with Ozemi using titles built around nuisance streaming and other confrontational themes. The suspension arrived during that run rather than after he had finished the trip.
Kick has since removed the restriction on the account. Ozemi's channel shows recent activity, including a Japan IRL broadcast from Hiroshima, confirming that the suspension was temporary rather than an ongoing platform ban.
Kick has not publicly disclosed how long the suspension lasted or provided its own account of what triggered it.
