Pokémon Winds and Waves leak points to an unusual Legendary Pokémon encounter

October 6, 2026·3 min read

Leaked Generation 10 material points to an early encounter with Konetsu and new claims about Majinization and the island region.

A new Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves leak claims players could meet a Legendary Pokémon near the beginning of the game rather than much later in the story. The information comes from Centro Leaks, which shared text it claims was taken from an early version of the upcoming Generation 10 titles.

The material has not been verified by Game Freak or The Pokémon Company and may come from an older build. Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves are officially scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027.

The leak claims players meet Konetsu early

The leaked dialogue refers to a Pokémon named Konetsu, which Centro Leaks claims is connected to the main Legendary storyline. Instead of appearing only near the end, the creature reportedly enters the story early and remains connected to the player as the adventure continues.

One piece of alleged dialogue has Konetsu making a short "Poyaa!" sound. That has led to speculation that it could first appear in a smaller form before changing later, although the leak does not confirm its appearance or how such a transformation would work.

Earlier claims have described Konetsu as a "Seed Pokémon" that grows stronger throughout the story. Those details remain unconfirmed and could have changed during development.

Majinization may be tied to the Legendary

The same leaked material references a mechanic called Majinization and an item known as the Majinize Band. Players are reportedly introduced to a Majinize Tour before challenging the first Gym, suggesting the mechanic could appear early in the game.

Centro Leaks also claims Konetsu is connected to this system. Other leaked information suggests one story route may involve defeating bosses to strengthen the Pokémon, while another focuses more heavily on battles using Majinization.

Neither Konetsu nor Majinization has been officially announced. The Pokémon Company has so far revealed the island setting and the three starter Pokémon without confirming the main Legendary creatures or battle mechanic.

The region may contain around 100 islands

The leaked dialogue also claims the new region consists of roughly 100 islands, many filled with largely untouched wilderness. That broadly fits the tropical island-and-ocean setting shown in official material, but The Pokémon Company has not confirmed an exact number.

Officially, players will explore an open world made up of islands and a large ocean. The confirmed starters are Grass-type Browt, Fire-type Pombon and Water-type Gecqua.

The leaked files are said to come from material connected to Game Freak's 2024 data breach, meaning some ideas could have changed significantly since then. Until Game Freak reveals more, Konetsu, Majinization and the early Legendary encounter remain unconfirmed leak claims.
