South Korea and Spain reportedly in line to host VALORANT Masters in 2027

South Korea and Spain could host the two VALORANT Masters events planned for the 2027 season, according to a new leak. VALORANT dataminer valohabercisi claims the first Masters will take place in South Korea, followed by a second event in Spain.

Riot Games has not confirmed either location, and no host cities, venues, or dates have been announced. Champions 2027, however, is already confirmed to take place somewhere in the Americas.

Valohabercisi posted the reported locations on September 12, listing South Korea for the opening Masters event and Spain for the second. The claim remains unverified, so both locations should be treated as possible hosts rather than confirmed stops on the 2027 calendar.

South Korea would be familiar territory for international VALORANT competition. Seoul hosted VALORANT Champions in 2024, when 16 teams competed for the world championship across August.

A Masters event would bring another major VCT tournament to the country, although Riot has not indicated whether Seoul or another Korean city is under consideration.

Spain has also previously hosted one of Riot's global VALORANT tournaments. Masters Madrid took place at Madrid Arena in March 2024 and served as the first international event of that VCT season.

The new leak only identifies Spain and does not specify Madrid as the possible 2027 host city. Riot's plans for the next season include taking events to more locations, so a return to Spain would not necessarily mean using the same city or venue.

The 2026 international calendar currently features Masters Santiago and Masters London before Champions Shanghai begins on September 24. If the leak proves accurate, 2027 would shift both Masters events back to countries that have already hosted major VCT competition.

The possible host locations arrive as Riot prepares a wider overhaul of the VALORANT Champions Tour. Starting in 2027, the circuit will move away from long regional league seasons and toward a tournament-based system with Kickoffs, Cups, Masters, and Champions.

Open teams will also receive more opportunities to qualify for global tournaments alongside Riot's partner organizations. Riot has said the new system will feature more than 20 tournaments each year and visit more than 16 cities. The first 2027 open qualifiers are scheduled to begin in November 2026, with regional Kickoff tournaments following at the start of next year.

Unlike the reported Masters locations, the region for Champions 2027 has already been announced by Riot. The season-ending world championship will take place somewhere in the Americas, although the specific country and city remain unconfirmed.

Riot has said more information about the 2027 regional calendars, qualification slots, and event locations will be released as the new season approaches. Until that happens, South Korea and Spain remain leaked candidates for the two Masters stops rather than official host locations.
