Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis Reveals New Gameplay in 30th Anniversary Teaser
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis celebrates the franchise's 30th anniversary with new gameplay footage featuring Lara Croft, familiar traps, dangerous creatures and reimagined locations.
Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog have released a new gameplay teaser for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, showing more of Lara Croft's reimagined first adventure. The footage was presented during the TR30 Derby celebration and MCM Comic Con London before being shared publicly on October 25, 2026.
Released to mark the franchise's 30th anniversary, the teaser revisits familiar enemies, traps, and locations from the original 1996 game. The upcoming adventure is scheduled to launch on February 12, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
Lara Croft faces classic traps and enemies in the new footage

The latest teaser highlights several recognizable moments from the original Tomb Raider, including Lara's signature dual pistols, dangerous creatures, and ancient structures filled with traps.
Lara is shown firing at hostile animals, swinging across gaps, and navigating large ruins. The footage also features a rolling boulder and a sequence in which her body turns to gold, recreating one of the original adventure's memorable traps.
Combat sequences show Lara using her dual pistols and a shotgun against enemies. The updated animations and environmental detail offer another look at how the developers are rebuilding these encounters for modern hardware.
The teaser focuses on familiar moments rather than announcing new gameplay mechanics or additional features.
Legacy of Atlantis expands the original game's exploration and puzzles

Developed using Unreal Engine 5, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is a complete reimagining of Lara Croft's debut adventure rather than a straightforward remaster. The developers are redesigning familiar environments and puzzles while retaining the exploration and combat of the original game.
Earlier gameplay demonstrations showed changes to Peru's Lost Valley, where previously separate areas now connect through larger environments. Players will have more routes to explore, while familiar challenges such as the cog puzzle have been rebuilt with new mechanics.
The adventure follows Lara as she searches for the scattered pieces of the Scion, a powerful ancient artifact. Her journey takes her through Peru, Greece, Egypt, and a mysterious Mediterranean island.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis remains set for February 2027
Amazon Games previously confirmed the February 12 release date in June 2026, alongside plans for Standard, Deluxe, and Collector's Editions. The anniversary teaser does not announce any changes to that schedule.
The Deluxe Edition includes a planned post-launch story DLC pack and 48-hour early launch access as a preorder bonus. Players who preorder the game will also receive a Survivor Outfit inspired by Lara's appearance in the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot.
Preorders are available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2.
