The livestream will give viewers outside the cinema a chance to see the new footage before the game's January launch. Sony has not confirmed whether the movie marathon or guest appearances will also be streamed.

Until Dawn 2 brings new characters and branching decisions

Developed by Firesprite with narrative support from AdHoc Studio, the team behind Dispatch, Until Dawn 2 follows Dead True, a group of YouTubers known for staging paranormal investigations. After securing a television deal, the crew travels to Akishima Island to investigate an abandoned luxury resort, where they encounter genuine supernatural threats.

The sequel retains the original game's choice-driven storytelling, with character relationships playing a larger role in how events unfold. Even smaller decisions can affect later events, while players' choices determine who survives.

The game introduces a new cast, although Peter Stormare returns as Dr. Hill. Until Dawn 2 launches exclusively on PS5 on January 28, 2027.
