Dispatch Comes to Mobile on December 9 With First Four Episodes Free

October 23, 2026·4 min read

Dispatch arrives on mobile December 9 with four free episodes, touch controls and new anniversary content for Deluxe Edition owners.

AdHoc Studio has announced that Dispatch will launch on iOS and Android on December 9, 2026, with the first four episodes available for free. The mobile release will let players experience half of the superhero workplace comedy before deciding whether to purchase the remaining story.

The announcement came on October 22 as part of the game's first-anniversary celebrations. Alongside the mobile version, AdHoc confirmed that Dispatch has reached more than five million players since its original release in October 2025. The studio also introduced new behind-the-scenes features for existing Deluxe Edition owners.

The mobile version will follow a free-to-start model, allowing players to experience the first four episodes of Dispatch without paying. The complete story consists of eight episodes. Players who want to continue beyond the opening half can unlock the full game with a one-time purchase of $19.99 in the United States. Regional pricing will vary.

This is not a limited-time trial. The first four episodes are part of the mobile release's pricing model, giving players access to a substantial portion of the story before purchasing the rest. AdHoc has also confirmed support for Google Play Games on PC, allowing the mobile version to run through Google's gaming platform on computers.

The release is planned for all regions where the existing PC and console versions are available, except China and Japan. Pre-registration through Google Play and pre-orders on the App Store are expected to open ahead of launch.

Touch controls and vertical play bring Dispatch to smartphones

Rather than simply bringing the existing version to smaller screens, AdHoc Studio has rebuilt Dispatch for touch controls and vertical play. The adaptation is designed to accommodate the game's dialogue choices, superhero management mechanics and animated storytelling on mobile devices.

Dispatch follows Robert Robertson, a former superhero known as Mecha Man who loses his suit and takes a job at the Superhero Dispatch Network. Instead of fighting crime directly, Robert manages a team of reformed supervillains, assigning them to emergencies across the city while dealing with their personalities and relationships.

Players must decide which heroes are best suited to each assignment while making dialogue choices that influence the story and its characters. The game combines workplace comedy, branching narrative decisions and light strategy, with its animated presentation giving it the feel of an interactive superhero series.

The mobile release will bring the full eight-episode story to smartphones, although AdHoc has not announced whether players can transfer existing saves from PC or consoles.

Dispatch celebrates five million players with new Deluxe Edition modes

The mobile announcement is part of a larger first-anniversary celebration for Dispatch, which originally launched on October 22, 2025. AdHoc Studio revealed that more than five million players have experienced the game during its first year. The milestone arrives alongside two new modes for owners of the Digital Deluxe Edition.

Commentary Mode introduces more than 16 hours of recorded commentary from the game's cast and development team. The audio changes depending on players' decisions, allowing different playthroughs to reveal additional behind-the-scenes details.

The cast commentary features actors including Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey and Erin Yvette, while the developer tracks explain the writing, direction and production of individual episodes.

Storyboard Mode allows players to experience the complete game using its original storyboard animations. It provides a look at how scenes and characters developed before the final animation was completed.

Both modes are now available to existing Digital Deluxe Edition owners at no additional cost in most regions. AdHoc notes that a small fee may apply in certain regions because of distribution requirements. Players with the standard edition can purchase the $10.99 Deluxe upgrade, which also includes a digital art book and four digital comics.

AdHoc also revealed additional anniversary merchandise and shared new details about its previously announced physical Deluxe Edition. A live soundtrack concert is scheduled for December 3 in Los Angeles.

Dispatch will arrive on iOS, Android and Google Play Games on PC on December 9, 2026, bringing its complete superhero story to mobile players with the first four episodes free.
