Xbox Game Pass adds nine games through October 16

October 8, 2026·3 min read

Microsoft's latest Game Pass wave spans cloud, console and PC, while nine other games are scheduled to leave the library on October 15.

Microsoft has revealed the next wave of Xbox Game Pass additions for October 2026, with nine games joining the service between October 8 and October 16. The lineup includes Battlefield 6, Valor Mortis, Forever Ago and several day-one releases across cloud, console and PC.

The first three games arrive on October 8, while the rest follow over the next week. Access varies between Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass depending on the title.

Three games arrive on October 8

Echo Weaver joins Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on October 8 as a day-one release. The knowledge-based Metroidvania is built around a time loop where players use information gathered during previous runs to reach new areas.

Forever Ago also arrives on day one across cloud, console and PC. The single-player road trip adventure follows Alfred as he travels north, photographs locations and meets people along the way.

The third October 8 addition is Neon Abyss 2, which joins Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass. The roguelike action platformer expands on the original with faster combat, new weapons and larger combinations of upgrades.

Battlefield 6 and Valor Mortis arrive October 13

Battlefield 6 is the biggest addition in the new wave and joins Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on October 13. Subscribers will get access across cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC, while Ultimate members also receive EA Play benefits.

October 13 also brings two day-one releases. Deep Dish Dungeon is a survival exploration game with crafting, puzzles and online co-op, while Valor Mortis is a first-person Soulslike from the developers of Ghostrunner.

Valor Mortis casts players as a former soldier from Napoleon's army who returns from death with supernatural abilities. It will be available through cloud, Xbox Series X|S, supported handhelds and PC.

Three more games follow later in the week

Bluey's Happy Snaps and Chained Beasts both arrive on October 15. The former is a family-friendly photography adventure based on Bluey, while the latter is a one-to-four-player gladiator roguelike built around fighters who are physically chained together.

Beyond These Stars completes the announced lineup on October 16 for PC. The city builder takes place on the back of a giant space whale, with players managing settlements, resources and outposts while traveling through space.

Most of the new additions are day-one Game Pass releases, giving the October wave a strong focus on games launching directly into the subscription service.

Nine games will leave Game Pass on October 15

Microsoft has also confirmed another group of departures for October 15. The list includes A Plague Tale: Requiem, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Crime Scene Cleaner, Donut County and Evil West.
Nova Roma, Pacific Drive, Superball and The Casting of Frank Stone will also leave on the same day.

Subscribers can buy departing games at a discount before they are removed from the library. The newly announced additions begin arriving on October 8 and continue through October 16. Microsoft has not yet revealed the next wave of Game Pass games for the second half of the month.
