Battlefield 6 teases Dead Space crossover for Season 5
October 7, 2026·3 min read
Dead Space imagery appears at the end of Battlefield 6’s Season 5 trailer, pointing to a limited-time horror crossover rather than a new standalone game.
EA appears to be bringing Dead Space into Battlefield 6 as part of its upcoming fifth season. The new Season 5 trailer ends with two soldiers wearing armor inspired by Isaac Clarke standing in front of a familiar Marker, strongly pointing to a Halloween crossover with EA's survival horror series.
The teaser does not announce a new Dead Space game or confirm a revival of the wider series. Instead, the imagery appears to be connected to a limited-time Battlefield 6 event arriving during Season 5, which begins on October 13.
The Marker appears at the end of the Season 5 trailer

Most of the new trailer focuses on Battlefield 6's next season, including a Las Vegas setting filled with destructible casinos and skyscrapers. EA is also preparing new maps, six weapons, two vehicles and additional content for the game's REDSEC mode.
The tone changes at the end of the footage when the action fades and the Marker appears. Two characters wearing engineering-style suits similar to Isaac Clarke's RIG armor can be seen nearby, making the connection to Dead Space difficult to miss.
EA has not yet published a full breakdown of the crossover. The trailer therefore confirms the Dead Space imagery but leaves the exact gameplay, rewards and event structure unexplained.
A Halloween event appears to be planned

The timing points toward a Halloween-themed event during Season 5. Reports based on earlier datamined material claim the crossover could include a PvE mode set around Area 51, where players would fight enemies connected to the Marker.
Those gameplay details have not been officially confirmed by EA and should still be treated as leaks. Datamined material has also pointed to RIG-inspired cosmetic skins and themed weapons, but the final content could differ when the event arrives.
Season 5 itself starts on October 13 across Battlefield 6's supported platforms. EA has already confirmed that the season begins Year 2 of the game and will continue adding new maps, gameplay changes and REDSEC content.
Dead Space has been quiet since the 2023 remake
EA's last major Dead Space release was Motive Studio's 2023 remake of the original game. The remake rebuilt Isaac Clarke's journey aboard the USG Ishimura for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Motive is now listed by EA as working on Battlefield 6 and its upcoming Iron Man project, while Dead Space appears among the studio's past releases. EA has not announced a sequel to the remake or another standalone entry in the series.
That makes the Season 5 teaser the first notable new use of Dead Space in some time, but it should not be mistaken for confirmation that the horror franchise is returning with a new game. More details about the Battlefield 6 event are expected as Season 5 begins on October 13.
