01Overview

Sid Meier's Civilization VI is a turn-based 4X strategy game where you guide a civilization from a small settlement into a global power. Each match takes place on a procedurally generated map filled with rival civilizations, city-states and resources to compete over. Players found cities, research technologies, develop culture, conduct diplomacy and build military forces while choosing how their empire expands. Cities grow beyond a single tile through specialized districts, making terrain and placement an important part of long-term planning. Victory can be achieved through several paths, including military conquest, scientific progress, cultural influence, religion and diplomacy. The Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm expansions add systems such as loyalty, governors, Golden and Dark Ages, natural disasters, climate change and additional diplomatic mechanics.
