The 12 best Steam Autumn Sale 2026 deals

October 2, 2026·8 min read

Steam’s Autumn Sale has some unusually strong discounts this year, including $1.99 adventures, $3.99 co-op games and major RPGs for well under $25.

Steam's Autumn Sale is usually at its most interesting once you get past the biggest front-page discounts. This year, some of the better deals are on games we would already recommend at full price, and the lower prices make those recommendations even easier.

With games like Death's Door, The Talos Principle 2 and Monster Hunter Rise all dropping considerably in price, there is plenty here for anyone looking to try something new without spending much.

There are also substantial discounts across RPGs, co-op games and a few bigger releases. These are 12 deals worth looking at before the sale ends on October 8.

12. Cyberpunk 2077

A character overlooks Night City as neon towers and advertisements light the skyline.
CD Projekt Red

Steam has Cyberpunk 2077 down 70% to $17.99, which gets you the full base game with all of the major free updates CD Projekt Red added after launch. If you also want Phantom Liberty, the Ultimate Edition is $33.10.

In Cyberpunk 2077, you build V around anything from quickhacks and stealth to shotguns, blades and heavy cyberware, then use that build to tackle jobs across Night City. The redesigned perk trees and cyberware system make those choices much more meaningful than they were in the original release.

At $17.99, you are getting Cyberpunk 2077 after years of updates that fixed its biggest problems and reshaped large parts of the game. For less than twenty dollars, that makes this a particularly strong time to finally see why its reputation changed so much.

11. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

Steam has Kingdom Come: Deliverance II down 60% to $23.99. The Royal Edition is $31.99 and includes the Expansion Pass, so the extra eight dollars is worth a look if you already expect to spend a lot of time in medieval Bohemia.

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, blacksmithing means heating and hammering metal yourself, sword fights depend on positioning and attack direction, and even your clothes and cleanliness can affect conversations.

Henry takes time to become capable, and that slow progression is a big part of the appeal. At $23.99, you get a huge RPG where learning how its systems work is just as important as finding better gear.

10. Resident Evil 4

A burning pyre stands in the centre of the village in Resident Evil 4.
Capcom

Resident Evil 4 is down 75% to $9.99. You play as Leon Kennedy, sent to rural Spain to find the president's kidnapped daughter, with the search taking you through villages, caves and a huge castle full of increasingly strange enemies.

Most of the game mixes exploration with third-person combat. You search rooms for ammunition and supplies, upgrade weapons with the Merchant and try to keep groups of enemies under control without burning through everything you are carrying. The remake also gives Leon more ways out of trouble, including knife parries and melee attacks.

For less than ten dollars, this is a long, tightly paced campaign with plenty of reasons to play through it again.

9. Hades II

Melinoë attacks enemies with bright magical effects in a dark woodland area in Hades II.
Supergiant Games

Hades II is back at $20.99, matching its lowest recorded US Steam price. The game left Early Access in September 2025, so this now gets you the full campaign rather than an unfinished version. You play as Melinoë, fighting through the Underworld and beyond in repeated runs where each attempt gives you a different mix of weapons, boons and upgrades.

Her Cast can trap enemies inside a magic circle, while stronger Omega attacks use Magick and ask you to pick your moments more carefully. After each run, you return to the Crossroads, where new conversations keep the story moving.

8. Split Fiction

Split Fiction futuristic environment with a glowing mechanical sphere above a city
Hazelight Studios

Hazelight's latest co-op game is 35% off, bringing Split Fiction down from $49.99 to $32.49. Friend's Pass makes that price a little more attractive, since only one person needs to own the game for two people to play the full campaign online.

In Split fiction you play as writers Mio and Zoe after they are pulled into their own science-fiction and fantasy stories. That gives Hazelight an excuse to keep switching things up, with new abilities, puzzles and co-op sections appearing throughout the game. It works especially well with someone who enjoys talking through problems together, whether you play online or on the same couch.

7. Monster Hunter Rise

A hunter battles a huge monster in shallow water in Monster Hunter Rise.
Capcom

Four dollars gets you a lot of hunting in Monster Hunter Rise. The base game is down 90% to $3.99, its lowest recorded US Steam price, while the bundle with Sunbreak is $9.59.

You pick from fourteen weapon types, then head out to track and fight monsters for the materials needed to craft better armour and weapons. Wirebugs make Rise faster than earlier games, letting you zip around arenas, recover from attacks and work new moves into each weapon.

Learning a monster's patterns is a big part of the appeal, especially once repeated hunts start feeling less chaotic and more deliberate.

6. The Talos Principle 2

A huge chained humanoid statue towers over the player in The Talos Principle 2.
Croteam / Devolver Digital

At $2.99, The Talos Principle 2 is 90% off and cheaper than plenty of games' cosmetic DLC. It is also a new recorded low on the US Steam store.

You explore a world built by robots after humanity has disappeared, solving first-person puzzles with lasers, gravity, teleportation and eventually the ability to move your consciousness between bodies. The harder optional puzzles can be left alone if you would rather keep the story moving.

There is a lot of philosophy between those puzzles, with its robot society arguing over what humanity left behind and what should replace it. For three dollars, there is an unusually ambitious game here.

5. Ori and the Will of the Wisps

Ori moves through a glowing fantasy landscape in Ori and the Will of the Wisps.
Moon Studios / Xbox Game Studios

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is down 90% to $2.99, which is very little for a game built around some of the smoothest movement in the genre.

You explore a large connected world, picking up abilities that gradually change how you move through it. Bash can launch Ori away from enemies and projectiles, Grapple pulls you towards anchor points, and combining those with jumps and dashes turns later areas into long chains of movement.

The platforming can get demanding when several abilities need to come together quickly. Once they do, revisiting an old area and flying through somewhere that used to stop you is a large part of the fun.

4. Death's Door

Death's Door crow exploring a crypt filled with coffins and a large enemy
Acid Nerve

Death's Door is down 90% to $1.99, which makes its compact action-adventure very easy to take a chance on.

You play a crow working as a soul reaper, sent out from a wonderfully dull office to collect souls from a much stranger world outside. Combat is simple to understand but asks you to watch enemy attacks carefully, with melee hits restoring the energy used for ranged abilities.

New powers gradually open paths through places you have already visited, so exploration keeps feeding back into the adventure. The mix of melancholy, dry humour and surprisingly tough fights gives Death's Door much more personality than its tiny sale price suggests.

3. Jagged Alliance 3

A mercenary squad moves through a rural settlement with wooden buildings and muddy roads in Jagged Alliance 3.
Haemimont Games

Keeping mercenaries alive is only part of the problem in Jagged Alliance 3. They also expect to get paid.

The game puts you in charge of a hired squad in Grand Chien, where taking diamond mines brings in money and losing territory can quickly undo that progress. Between tactical battles, you decide where to move next, who needs time to recover and whether local militia are strong enough to defend what you leave behind.

Its mercenaries have their own skills and personalities, so building a squad eventually becomes as important as winning individual fights. At $4.49, down 90% from $44.99, there is a lot of strategy here for very little money. A demo is available if you want to try it first.

2. The Outlast Trials

A hostile test subject approaches the player during a Murkoff experiment in The Outlast Trials.
Red Barrels

Four people trying to stay quiet usually lasts about five minutes in The Outlast Trials. The game sends you into Murkoff's experiments with objectives to finish and enemies that are much better avoided than fought.

Different tools help the group survive when things go wrong. One player can stun a pursuer, another can heal an injured teammate, while someone else tries to finish the objective before the whole situation collapses.

The Outlast Trials is down to $3.99 during the sale, making it a very cheap excuse to drag three friends into Murkoff's experiments. Just know that the graphic violence and torture make this a much heavier game night than the price might suggest.

1. Outward Definitive Edition

An adventurer stands beside a campfire in a snowy wilderness in Outward Definitive Edition.
Nine Dots Studio / Prime Matter

Outward is the kind of RPG where forgetting food or warm clothing can ruin a trip before the monsters do.

You play an ordinary adventurer rather than a chosen hero, so leaving town means thinking about sleep, weather, supplies and what happens if a wound becomes infected halfway through the journey. The game also autosaves constantly, which means bad decisions usually have to be dealt with instead of reloaded away.

The Definitive Edition is down 95% to $1.99 and includes both major expansions. Online and local split-screen co-op are included too. It asks for more patience than most RPGs, but few games make simply getting back to town feel quite as satisfying.
