Balatro

Balatro is a poker-inspired roguelike deck builder developed by LocalThunk. Rather than playing traditional poker against opponents, you create familiar poker hands to earn enough chips to beat increasingly difficult Blinds and reach the final Ante. Each run revolves around building combinations that can dramatically increase your score. Jokers provide special effects that change how particular cards, suits or hands behave, while Tarot, Planet and Spectral cards can modify your deck or improve specific hands. Shops between rounds let you spend earned money on new cards, upgrades and Vouchers. Different starting decks encourage different strategies, and Boss Blinds introduce special restrictions that can disrupt otherwise reliable builds. Success depends on finding powerful synergies and adapting your deck as the scoring requirements increase.
