Call of Duty: Black Ops

Call of Duty: Black Ops is a first-person shooter and the seventh main entry in the Call of Duty series. Its single-player campaign follows CIA operative Alex Mason during the Cold War as he attempts to uncover the meaning behind mysterious numbers connected to a Soviet plot. Missions move between locations including Cuba, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Soviet territory, combining infantry combat with vehicle sequences, stealth, and scripted set pieces. Players use firearms, explosives, and specialized equipment while experiencing much of the story through Mason’s memories and interrogation. Alongside the campaign, Black Ops includes competitive multiplayer with customizable loadouts, killstreak rewards, progression, and a selection of objective and elimination-based modes. Zombies returns from World at War as a cooperative survival mode where players fight increasingly difficult waves of undead, earn points, open new areas, and purchase weapons and upgrades. The base game includes Kino der Toten, Five, and the top-down Dead Ops Arcade mode. A hidden computer terminal accessible from the main menu also contains a playable version of the classic text adventure Zork.
