The Witcher

The Witcher is an action RPG developed by CD Projekt Red and based on the fantasy novels by Andrzej Sapkowski. Players control Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster hunter who has lost his memory and is trying to piece together his past. The story begins after Kaer Morhen is attacked by the Salamandra, a criminal organization that steals valuable witcher secrets and mutagens. Geralt sets out to track them down while becoming involved in political conflicts and local disputes. Combat combines sword fighting, magical Signs and alchemy, with different styles suited to different enemy types. Choices made during quests can affect characters, factions and later events, often without a clearly good or bad outcome.
