01Overview
Mafia: Definitive Edition is a full remake of the 2002 action-adventure game Mafia. Set in the fictional city of Lost Heaven during the 1930s, it follows taxi driver Tommy Angelo as a chance encounter pulls him into the Salieri crime family. The story is structured around cinematic missions involving driving, shootouts, pursuits and other criminal jobs as Tommy rises through the organization. Between missions, players travel across an open city inspired by Prohibition-era America. The remake rebuilds the original game with modern visuals, expanded dialogue and updated combat and driving systems. While the city can be explored freely, the main focus remains the linear story and Tommy’s changing relationship with the Salieri family as the consequences of his criminal life begin to catch up with him.
