Aion 2's Character Creator Goes Viral Because Its Smallest Bust Setting Isn't Very Small

Aion 2 is attracting attention for its character creator just days after launch, with one of its body customization options becoming a viral talking point.

Clips shared across social media show players pushing the female character creator's bust controls to exaggerated proportions. The stranger part for some players is the other end of the scale.

Some say that even when they lower the bust-size setting to its apparent minimum, their characters still look relatively large-chested. That has prompted jokes and criticism over the range of body types available.

The initial viral clips focused on how far players could increase the setting. Players quickly began testing what happened when it was moved in the opposite direction.

That led to complaints that Aion 2 does not appear to offer an equivalent range for players who want a smaller-chested character. Some posts described the lowest setting as still being too large. Others treated the limitation more humorously and joked about the priorities behind the game's unusually detailed creator.

There is no indication that the minimum is a bug. NC has also not announced plans to expand the available range.

The discussion is therefore about the customization choices currently available rather than a confirmed technical problem with the game.

The attention around one slider comes from a much larger character creation system.

NC says Aion 2 includes more than 200 customization options. Players can modify body shape, skin tone, facial details, eye color, muscle definition, and numerous other aspects of their character. The developer has promoted the creator as one of the game's major customization features since before release.

That level of control helps explain why players immediately started testing its extremes. The bust settings are only one part of the system, but they have become one of its most visible features following launch.

The viral reaction also highlights an unusual contrast. Aion 2 gives players extensive control over small physical details, yet some players feel one particular body option does not offer enough range at its lower end.

Aion 2 officially launched globally on October 5 for PC through Steam and NC's PURPLE platform. The free-to-play MMORPG had previously opened five days of Early Access for Founder's Pack owners.

NC says the game passed 400,000 concurrent players on its first day of global service. It also reached the top of Steam's Popular New Releases and Trending Free charts following launch.

That gives the character creator discussion a much larger audience than a typical customization joke. For now, though, the bust-size debate remains a community reaction. NC has not treated the available range as an issue or announced any changes to it.
